Derby
Derby is located in the south of Derbyshire, East Midlands, and is home to Derby Gaol and the Industrial Museum. Its All Saints Church became designated as a cathedral in 1927, allowing the transition from town to city in June 1977 by Queen Elizabeth II, marking her anniversary of 25 years on the throne. Derby has the largest deaf population after London, due to its strong sign language-using community.
Stafford
Stafford is located in Staffordshire, West Midlands, and is roughly in the middle of Wolverhampton and Stoke-on-Trent. One of its attractions is Stafford Castle, built in around 1090, firstly out of wood, but then later rebuilt using stone. It has since been rebuilt a further two times. Stafford is also home to the Stafford Gatehouse Theatre and Shire Hall, which holds an art gallery.
